Makeup time

 

Today I filmed the intro portion for my opening scene. The scene consisted of the make up done on my face and the location was in my kitchen. In the scene I had to set up my camera and then I use my moms phone as the decoy phone or prop phone. I had to capture the name showing up on the phone so I switched my contacts name to unknown. Next I called my mom‘s phone from my phone and shot the overhead view of the phone on the counter. The next scene was me walking into the kitchen mainly in loungewear.  Capture that aspect I just wore a hoodie and sweatpants and picked up my phone like I would for any call. My next task I had to film a shot of me going up the stairs.  This proved to be a challenge due to the angle and my stairs when you’re going up you’re surrounded by two walls. Yeah next thing at the farm is the out of the house shots. this includes the truck shots, and the boat shots this morning. This is going to prove a challenge because I might not have any and every person on the film site in order to film and I have to find other ways to film. Making my image of my film coming to life is going to be a challenge because it’s going to be hard with the quality and camera angles. I am most likely going to have to use a tripod in order to capture some angles. But for safety reasons I am going to have a pair on site due to him on the shots I do have to drive the truck. However I’ve been driving for a year now I have my permit I’m about to get my license and I am accompanied by someone over the age of 21. Another thing I have to plan is what my costumes are going to be and how I’m going to plan editing. Tell me during this time has been rough on me I recently quit the softball team due to needing to get a job outside of school. And I right now need to mainly focus on my studies due to upcoming Cambridge test and honors test. I have to say the European history test is why I mainly scared for due to the fact that I have to write up to two essays or three essays and under an hour and 90 minutes. I am looking forward to getting all my shots completed. And beginning the editing process in which I wanna make my subtitles the coolest ones out there.

Change of Plans

As the title states, there has been a change of plans in terms of the product of my final task.  I will have to cut the total amount of script to a minimum.  I have changed my aspect of what I want to create and I am leaning more towards a euphoria aspect. In euphoria contains flashbacks with a monotone voiceover. Title Design Research: Thriller 30 days of Night

  1.      How many titles are displayed during the opening sequences to the film? Which ones? Ni- Nine Titles were displayed in the opening sequence of 30 days of Night. Stated in the article on watch the titles," The audience is confronted with a sequence of highly disquieting images that cross-dissolve or fade to black. Details of torn and tainted photographs, northern lights, shadows, a bloody tooth embedded in a thick layer of ice and references to the Alaskan wintercape. Brian Reitzell‘s haunting score greatly enhances the discomforting atmosphere." The titles in this opening sequence are simple in all white, however in all capitial letters to state the importantance. Commercial Group Blog

                  I have come to the decision to create my commercial alone. On short assignments such as the commercial, I prefer to work alone. I have found when you have a group on individuals on an assignment like this one, there is too many ideas and voices to be represented. Another reason I choose to work alone is so I am accountable for my own work. This eliminates the stress of having to make sure everyone submits and does their part of the assignment. I feel when I work alone, I'm the one to have the control over the assignment and can raise the standards. My exceptions for projects is set really high and working with people that don't match my work ethic and standards adds more work for me then what's needed. My personality matches with working alone.
