My Final Music Video for The Nights


     Welcome to my final music video for the song The Nights by Avicii. I am so proud of my music video and believe it fits the mood and vibe I hoped to reach. I had to make a lot of changes in order to meet my dead line, my commercial came out reaching my standards. I had an amazing time filming these shots and mainly focused on capturing the fun aspect in stead of revolving around a character. This music video allowed me to capture fun and life changing times with me and my friends. Things I had to overcome was how to film and not make it awkward in public. One thing I would change was to have a partner and base the story around us. As stated in previous blogs I prefer to be behind the camera instead of in front. I enjoyed filming seeing my friends have fun. I believe this music video pushed me out of my comfort zone and forced me to enjoy life. Overall had a fun experience filming and an epic time with my friends.

First Day Filming Blog !!

       Today was the beginning of filming for my new balance cleats commercial. I came dressed in my uniform and had all the gear I needed. When I arrived I received my filming pass and then headed off to the softball field to start filming. My first problem I ran into was how I was going to film while being the actor. I found propping my filming device against my helmet at the low angle I needed. I first scene I did was the POV shot of my tying my cleat laces the dugout. The next scene was a shot of me running the bases. I ended up having not the film all the scenes on my storyboard because I would have ran out of time in editing. My favorite scene came up to filming and I have been looking up to filming this. I again filmed this by propping my phone up from two different angles and editing the timing later. Final Filming Blog

       Today was a simple day of filming. I received my pass from my media studies teacher and headed to the softball field. I was not required to bring any softball equipment to school and dress up in my uniform. Once I reached the field, I to clean up the sets. The gates to the field were open and I had to rake the field to get rid of foot prints. The shots I filmed today contained a pan shot of the field and I filmed a few extras in case a shot wasn't to my liking. I had to wait around a bit because a cloud blocked the sun making the field feel dark.  I waited around 10 minutes for the clouds to clear and began my filming process. The lighting I received was great and showed the field perfectly. During class today I worked on redoing my story boards. During filming process I wasn't able to get the shots that I need so I need to go with my backup shots. I finished my shooting and put everything I used back in its spot.
