Back To Rink

 

    I go ice skating every weekend and when ever I can. I ended up going back to the rink to collect a few more shots as back up plan because I had to change some things up. I re-filmed the get ready to go rink and dragged it out longer. Plus added more clips in the car of singing along to song and the scenery. I made to collect many shot so that I could quick flashes in between scenes and really capture the idea that the main character is living their life. The whole background of the music video is to live life to the fullest and chase after thing that make you happy. The things in this video that make me happy is ice skating, music, and my friends. I really try to represent those elements into my music video and make it and overall vibe. I want to make something that would Mae the viewer happy and put a smile on their face. I always watch these fun adventure short videos on TikTok and always wanted to put myself in that persons shoes and live my life to the fullest. I also want to represent the though times school can put on someone. At the beginning I'm going to put test grades as F's holding in my hand. Then Im going to act like being dragged out of my house to go do something fun. School can have a huge mental hold on students and we need to learn that's there's more to life then just the letter written on paper or how well you do on a test. This video also put me out there and forced me to try new things that I wouldn't normally do. The rink shots I took included more of my friends and skates. This music video is going to more upbeat and fast pace. Im going to try and match the fast pace music with energetic and fast moving shots. The places in my shots are some of my favorite places. I really hope my music represents the key things I want it to.

Change of Plans

As the title states, there has been a change of plans in terms of the product of my final task.  I will have to cut the total amount of script to a minimum.  I have changed my aspect of what I want to create and I am leaning more towards a euphoria aspect. In euphoria contains flashbacks with a monotone voiceover. Title Design Research: Thriller 30 days of Night

  1.      How many titles are displayed during the opening sequences to the film? Which ones? Ni- Nine Titles were displayed in the opening sequence of 30 days of Night. Stated in the article on watch the titles," The audience is confronted with a sequence of highly disquieting images that cross-dissolve or fade to black. Details of torn and tainted photographs, northern lights, shadows, a bloody tooth embedded in a thick layer of ice and references to the Alaskan wintercape. Brian Reitzell‘s haunting score greatly enhances the discomforting atmosphere." The titles in this opening sequence are simple in all white, however in all capitial letters to state the importantance. Commercial Group Blog

                  I have come to the decision to create my commercial alone. On short assignments such as the commercial, I prefer to work alone. I have found when you have a group on individuals on an assignment like this one, there is too many ideas and voices to be represented. Another reason I choose to work alone is so I am accountable for my own work. This eliminates the stress of having to make sure everyone submits and does their part of the assignment. I feel when I work alone, I'm the one to have the control over the assignment and can raise the standards. My exceptions for projects is set really high and working with people that don't match my work ethic and standards adds more work for me then what's needed. My personality matches with working alone.
