The Nights Behind the Scenes

 

       The nights is an Avicii classic up beat fast moving song making it easy to relate and dance to. The sound was inspired by the bars in Ireland. Avicii wrote the song to remind the listeners to live freely and lightly. Obstacles will be thrown their way, but remember the good times and moments that make life worth it. Avicii said," Figure out what you're most passionate about in life and what you're good at. And the mixture betweeen those two and then you should give it your all, all the time."  The nights music video was to represent Avicii living his life doing activities such as traveling, cliff jumping, and more. The video was produced, directed by, and stars "professional life liver" Rory Kramer, who filmed an exuberant action-packed recollection of his own life roller coasters, surfing, snowboarding, skateboarding, sky diving, and hot air ballon flying. He states his life experiences as," living a life to be remembered." The nights is in the genre of progressive house folktronica. The artist is known for playing music in the genres electric dance music, country music, and dance/ electric. The setting of the music video features many locations in the world. Seen in the music video it is seen filmed within parts of America at beaches, on motorways, in the seas, at the Hollywood sign, skateparks, swimming pools, desert, and ski resorts. The colors used are very bright and vibrant such as blue, yellow, and white. These colors can represent happiness and summer time. The lighting used within the video is high key adding to the upbeat mood. Some of the scenes are shots are during sunset which makes the actors silhouettes. The costumes used are basic, this can indicate the warm weather and the characters mood of easy going. The actors release a happy energy and being energetic. There is many different types of camera shots used in the the music video. Shots such as wide shots, close ups, mid-shots. pan-shots, tilt-shots, and more.
