Commercial Group Blog

I have come to the decision to create my commercial alone. On short assignments such as the commercial, I prefer to work alone. I have found when you have a group on individuals on an assignment like this one, there is too many ideas and voices to be represented. Another reason I choose to work alone is so I am accountable for my own work. This eliminates the stress of having to make sure everyone submits and does their part of the assignment. I feel when I work alone, I'm the one to have the control over the assignment and can raise the standards. My exceptions for projects is set really high and working with people that don't match my work ethic and standards adds more work for me then what's needed. My personality matches with working alone. I'm an over-achiever and like to challenge myself to the best work I can turn in. In addition, I'm very creative and do not like to turn in the average projects or assignments. Working alone also allows me to fit the project to my schedule. I'm in very difficult classes this year and carry the responsibility of turning in homework on time. On the average day I spend a total of 9 hours and 83 minutes on the school campus between school time and sports. My schedule can vary if traveling is needed for sports or if I'm out of town. When working on the commercial I am most likely to get help from my friends to show the product. I much prefer to work behind the camera than in front of it.  Deciding to work alone also helps me create something that I want to do and expresses my personal likes, then having to fit to create another persons likes. I will learn from doing it alone to manage my time and workload efficiently in order to meet the deadline. I am looking forward to creating my commercial and already have so many creative ideas. Im expecting my commercial to live up to my teachers exceptions and goals. I want to make my vision become reality through my commercial project.
